This Privacy Policy outlines how Autozis ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, processes, and protects your information when you use our website (https://autozis.com), our cloud-based web portal, any applications provided by Autozis, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect
We collect data to provide a personalized, smart vehicle management experience. This includes:
• Account Information: Name, email address, and profile settings when you register.
• Vehicle & Logistics Data: Car make, model, year, mileage logs, maintenance histories, expense records, vehicle identification numbers (VIN), and insurance policy information that you input into the Service.
• Location Data: Latitude and longitude coordinates that you provide or that are derived from receipt scanning and mapping features.
• AI Assistant Interactions: Text prompts, queries, and vehicle context data you submit while communicating with our integrated AI Assistant, including AI token usage metrics.
• Payment Details: Transaction processing data. Payment collection is handled securely by our third-party billing providers; we do not store raw credit card numbers on our servers.
• Technical & Usage Data: IP addresses, device identifiers, operating system versions, AI token usage metrics, and usage statistics collected automatically via necessary cookies and local session storage. Server log data (IP addresses and anonymized user identifiers) is also collected for application monitoring, error tracking, and security purposes via Serilog, Seq, and OpenTelemetry.
• Bot & Abuse Prevention: Google reCAPTCHA v3 may collect browser fingerprint data and IP addresses on registration and authentication forms to protect against automated abuse.

2. How We Use Your Information
We process your data under legitimate business interests and contractual necessities to:
• Administer your account, track vehicle timelines, and send maintenance reminders.
• Process payments and manage active premium subscriptions.
• Power our Integrated AI Assistant, allowing it to analyze your maintenance logs, troubleshoot issues, and provide custom mechanical guidance based on your vehicle profile.
• Monitor and improve application performance, fix software bugs, and secure our systems.

3. Integrated AI Assistant & Third-Party Data Transmission
To provide advanced diagnostic and scheduling support, our application integrates cloud-based artificial intelligence services provided by sub-processors, specifically Google (Gemini API), OpenAI (ChatGPT API), and Azure Document Intelligence.
• Scope of Sharing: When you interact with the AI Assistant, your query text, vehicle records (including make, model, mileage, and maintenance history), and location data may be transmitted via secure APIs to these providers to generate automated responses. When you upload receipt or document images for scanning, those images are transmitted to AI providers for data extraction.
• Data Protection: We utilize enterprise-grade API connections. Per our agreements with these providers, data sent via these APIs is processed strictly to generate responses for your session and is not used by Google or OpenAI to train public foundation models.
• Server-Side Safeguards: User identification is handled server-side and is not transmitted to AI providers in system prompts. Function calls that retrieve your vehicle data are authenticated server-side, ensuring the AI only accesses your own data.
• No Sensitive PII: We strongly advise users not to input highly sensitive personal credentials, identification numbers, or financial details into the AI Assistant chat interface. Please note that receipt images may contain personal information such as names, addresses, or partial payment details; review images before uploading.

4. Service Providers and Data Sharing
Beyond our AI cloud infrastructure, we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only disclose information to trusted vendors essential to running our business:
• Cloud Infrastructure & Storage: Hosting services (e.g., servers and databases) maintaining app availability; Backblaze (B2) for user file and photo storage.
• Payment Gateways: Paddle (web portal subscriptions), Google Play Billing (Android subscriptions), and Apple App Store (iOS subscriptions) handling subscription billing.
• Authentication Providers: Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In for optional social login.
• AI & Document Processing: Google (Gemini API), OpenAI (ChatGPT API), and Azure Document Intelligence for AI-powered assistant features and receipt optical character recognition.
• Maps & Weather: Google Maps for location features; OpenWeatherMap for weather data.
• Security & Fraud Prevention: Google reCAPTCHA for bot and abuse protection.
• Transactional Email: Configuration-dependent providers (Mailgun, Postmark, MailJet, MailerSend, or Zoho) delivering service emails such as password resets and reminders.
• Application Monitoring & Logging: Serilog, Seq, and OpenTelemetry for application performance monitoring, error tracking, and operational logging.
• Legal Compliance: If required by law, we may disclose information to comply with valid legal processes or protect the rights and safety of our platform and users.

5. Your GDPR Rights (European Union Users)
As Autozis is subject to the laws of Portugal and the European Union, you possess comprehensive data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to:

• Request rectification of inaccurate vehicle or profile data.

6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data and vehicle logs only as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with the Service. If you choose to delete your account, your account is immediately deactivated and your personal identifiers (name, email) are anonymized. All remaining associated data — including vehicles, maintenance records, conversations, files, and subscription records — is scheduled for permanent deletion within 30 days via our automated cleanup process, except where retention is legally required for financial auditing or tax purposes.

7. Age Limits and Children's Privacy
Autozis does not intentionally collect or process data from individuals under the age of 16. If we discover that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information without verifiable parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that data from our production systems.

8. Updates to this Privacy Policy
We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect app updates or regulatory changes. We will notify you of any structural modifications via email. Your continued use of the application after an update constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
